We invite you to get a modern engineering education under the program "Technologies and equipment for metal forming" in the ME-07 and ME-08 groups. The training is conducted in the specialty 136 Metallurgy at the Department of Metal Forming .
During training at our department you will receive:
-
understanding of the properties of materials;
-
knowledge of modern production technologies for most types of metal products;
-
work experience in modern software products designed for modeling and optimization of metal forming processes;
-
basics of commercial support and supply of metal products.
The quality of training is recognized in the European Union *. It is not necessary to go abroad to receive a competitive education.
During training at the department, you can choose the discipline to study, depending on your inclinations and area of interest:

Software Competencies:
-
The ability to apply the provisions of theories of plastic flow and calculation methods to determine the stress-strain state of a material, deformation modes and technological parameters in pressure processing;
-
The ability to demonstrate an understanding of the physical foundations of plastic deformation; take into account and predict the properties and behavior of metals in pressure processing processes;
-
The ability to solve practical problems of metal forming, associated with the development and implementation of technological processes for the production of metallurgical products using modern approaches and calculation methods;
-
The ability to design technologies and select units and equipment for the production of certain types of metal products by combining existing methods of metal processing;
-
The ability to solve problems associated with the supply of metal products, using the concepts, theories and methods of analyzing the markets of metallurgical products;
-
The ability to justify the design of assemblies for metal forming, to calculate the strength and durability of its elements and to develop drawings of units and parts;
-
The ability to operate and monitor the state of work of equipment for metal forming;
-
The ability to demonstrate an understanding of modeling methods and optimization of technological processes, it is reasonable to choose modeling methods to study individual parameters in metal forming processes.
Our goal and objective is to provide maximum opportunities for personal and professional development of students.
This is facilitated by:
-
Use in the educational process of multimedia equipment, a computer class and a training workshop (laboratory rolling mills, presses, drawing mills, 3D printer, 3D scanner).
-
Using modern licensed software. The main direction of development is the use of the Microsoft Office 365 office suite, and QForm, a program for modeling metal forming processes.
-
Students undergo internships and internship programs. Students of the department have the opportunity during training to undergo an internship both at the enterprises of the city and the region, as well as international programs.
-
Students' participation in national and international olympiads. During the academic year, students have the opportunity to test their strength in at least 5 olympiads.
